A. O . Smith launches iCOMM™ Elite, a first of its kind interactive remote water heater monitoring service

A. O. Smith has launched its industry-exclusive iCOMM Elite proactive remote water heater monitoring and maintenance service.  This unique service, which combines advanced technologies in commercial water heating with sophisticated web-based algorithms, enables A. O. Smith support staff to manage customers’ water heating systems for them.   

iCOMM Elite lets A. O. Smith do the work for customers, allowing them to focus on their businesses. It enables A. O. Smith to interact with, proactively manage and monitor a customer’s water heaters 24 hours a day, seven days a week and dispatch service when needed.  

 

The iCOMM Elite service level is available as a premium option to the basic customer monitored iCOMM service. Additional benefits of the Elite service level include: 

• A. O. Smith 24/7/365 monitoring of customers’ water heaters
• “Concierge level” service dispatch of A. O. Smith trained service professionals
• Extended parts, tank and labor coverage up to a full three years
• Optional reports sent to customer via email

iCOMM Elite was designed for any commercial water heater customer, ranging from a small business with one water heater to national chain operations with thousands of locations.  It is compatible with A. O. Smith Cyclone Xi Series gas water heaters, Custom Xi (DSE Models) Series industry-strength electric water heaters, and Gold Xi (DVE Models) Series standard electric water heaters.

 

With a three-year minimum subscription, iCOMM Elite customers receive monitoring and dispatch services for their newly installed water heaters along with parts, labor and tank replacement coverage for three years.

 

When a customer experiences problems with any product or part that is still under warranty, “concierge” service is available to get the customer back on track.  This service includes a call before service; handling of logistics, repairs, and replacement parts.

 

The company launched the standard iCOMM service in 2009. This system offered customers the capability to remotely monitor their own water heaters.
