A. O. Smith to exhibit, present at International Pool, Spa & Patio Expo next week
Tipp City, Ohio--In addition to exhibiting at this year’s International Pool, Spa & Patio Expo, A. O. Smith will be one of the featured presenters at the new VGB Pavilion. The expo will be held from Nov. 16 to 18 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino, Las Vega, Nev.
A. O. Smith is the leading pump motor supplier to the North American leisure water market and will showcase its latest innovations for pool and spa applications. The A. O. Smith exhibit will be in booth 1454.
The A. O. Smith 30-minute presentation, scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 17, will focus on the company’s exclusive line of Guardian ® motors with eMod ® technology, the only pool motors with built-in safety vacuum release system (SVRS) technology.
The program, presented by Erik Nordquist, pump motor marketing manager for A. O. Smith Electrical Products Company, will discuss the need for SVRS devices, the recently enacted Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Act, and detailed information about the features of A. O. Smith’s Guardian line of motors as well as proper selection, installation, and use of the products.
At the International Pool, Spa & Patio Expo, A. O. Smith’s will showcase a wide range of high efficiency pool and spa motors including:
A. O. Smith E-Plus® New Centurion® high-efficient two-speed motors have Permanent Split Capacitor (PSC) high speeds and capacitor start/capacitor run (CSCR) low speeds. With the CSCR low-speed capability, E-Plus New Centurion can offer increased energy savings of up to 20 percent over regular two-speed motors. When replacing a single-speed motor with an E-Plus New Centurion two-speed motor, total savings may achieve up to 58 percent.
Its new line of A. O. Smith variable speed pump motors. These permanent magnet brushless DC motors enable pump manufacturers to achieve average energy savings of more than $900 per year by delivering high efficiency at a wide range of speeds. A. O. Smith’s variable speed pump motors maintain high efficiency over the entire speed range and offer better utilization of the power input, which for consumers will result in attractive cost savings. The motor is adjustable to any speed between 600 RPM and 3450 RPM and is capable of maintaining constant RPM at those speeds. When operating at lower speeds, the electronically controlled motor consumes significantly less power than a conventional motor.
The A. O. Smith line of Guardian® motors with eMod® technology – the only pool motors with built-in SVRS devices. Guardian motors install just like a traditional motor, but add a layer of protection to the pool or spa environment against suction entrapment.
New for this year’s International Pool, Spa and Patio Expo, the VGB Pavilion is sponsored by Pentair and Waterway Plastics and offers an assortment of Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act compliance-related product lines. In addition to specific VGB compliant products on display, a three-day series of 30-minute supplier presentations will take place in the pavilion. This new area is free of charge for all registered attendees and open daily throughout the Expo.
