MAPI elects A. O. Smith CEO Ajita Rajendra to Board of Trustees

Arlington, Va.The Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation (MAPI), a leading business research and executive education organization, announced the election of three new members to its Board of Trustees.

Ajita RajendraAjita G. Rajendra, president and chief executive officer of A. O. Smith Corporation of Milwaukee, Wis., Richard H. Fearon, vice chairman and chief financial and planning officer for Eaton Corporation of Cleveland, Ohio, and Christopher L. Mapes, chairman, president, and CEO of Lincoln Electric Holdings of Cleveland and were elected as trustees.

At Eaton, Fearon has responsibility for the accounting, control, corporate development, information systems, internal audit, investor relations, strategic planning, tax, and treasury functions. Eaton is a power management company that provides energy-efficient solutions to help its customers effectively manage electrical, hydraulic and mechanical power more efficiently, safely and sustainably.

Mapes heads Lincoln Electric, the world leader in the design, development, and manufacture of arc welding products, robotic arc welding systems, plasma and oxyfuel cutting equipment; it also has a leading global position in the brazing and soldering alloys market.

Rajendra guides A. O. Smith, a leading global manufacturer and marketer of residential and commercial water heaters and boilers as well as a manufacturer of water purification products.
