A. O. Smith’s Neeraj Gupta appointed director of Water Quality Association-India

Dr. Neeraj Gupta, head-engineering of A. O. Smith India Water Products Private Limited has been appointed as a director on the board of Water Quality Association-India. The appointment was made at the WQA India board meeting held on Feb. 3.  

Dr Gupta Receiving PlaqueDr. Gupta has been actively associated with WQA for many years and was a member of the expert committee for conceptualization, developing and launching “Protocol for Microbiological Evaluation of Drinking Water Treatment Devices,” a newly launched WQA standard for evaluating, testing and certifying point-of-use treatment systems for drinking water for India.  

A. O. Smith India Water Products Private Limited was acknowledged in the standard for providing continuous support to the trade organization during the development and validation of this new protocol and was registered as a Gold Member of WQA-India.  

WQA-India is part of the Water Quality Association, a not-for-profit association for the residential commercial, and industrial water treatment industry with headquarters in Lisle, Ill. WQA represents more than 2,700 member companies around the globe with membership  comprised of equipment manufacturers, suppliers, dealers, and distributors of water quality improvement products and services.  

WQA serves as an educator of water treatment professionals, a certifier of water treatment products, a public information resource and the voice of the water quality improvement industry.
