Nanjing, China—A. O. Smith’s operations in China are members of an elite
group, listed as one of the Top 30 China Best Employers. The 2016 companies list included a number of
well-known international names such as IBM, Starbucks, Ikea, and Tencent.
The annual competition is sponsored by recruitment website Zhaopin.com,
and companies are evaluated on four criteria: comprehensive employee
survey (60%); expert accreditation (10%); public survey (20%); and a human
resources management questionnaire (10%). A. O. Smith was selected based on its
equal enterprise environment, diverse promotion ways, and 142-year-old
enterprise culture. The awards were announced in December at Haitang Bay,
Sanya.
This is the second time A. O. Smith has
been included in the Top 30 China Best Employer list. It has been part of the Top 100 China Best
Employer listing for a total of five years.

selection to the Top 30 group were:

for group leaders, and employee recognition programs;

number of activities to promote and reinforce the company’s culture. The company offers a formal continuous

In addition, A. O. Smith was presented with
“2016 Top 100 China Exemplary Employer” and “Exemplary
Employer for employees’ development plan” by 51job.com. A. O. Smith was recognized for its culture,
