Milwaukee,
Wis.—Retired A. O. Smith Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Paul Jones and
his wife, Patricia, have received the 2017 Emilie Vogel Nunnemacher Award from Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
The
honor was presented to the couple last evening during a special awards ceremony
at the Pfister Hotel.
The
award is presented annually to individuals who embody the spirit of innovation
in their philanthropy to CHW. The award
is named in honor of philanthropist and board member Emelie Vogel Nunnemacher,
who began advocating for children in 1894, the year Children’s Hospital of
Wisconsin was founded.
Paul
and Pat Jones have been generous donors to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin
since they moved to Milwaukee in 2004.
“Paul
and Pat Jones have been committed to our community for many years, and this
award is just another example of that commitment,” Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer Ajita G. Rajendra said. “One of
A. O. Smith’s core values is good corporate citizenship, and Paul and Pat certainly
personify that philosophy. On behalf of
everyone at A. O. Smith, I want to congratulate them on this well-deserved
honor.”
