Christopher L. Mapes

Mr. Mapes joined the A. O. Smith Board of Directors in April 2023 and is a member of the Audit Committee.

In January 2024, Mr. Mapes was named the executive chairman of Lincoln Electric Holdings Inc., a global manufacturer of welding, cutting and joining products. He held the position of chairman, president and chief executive officer from 2013 to 2023. He has been president and chief executive officer since December 2012, after serving as chief operating officer in 2011. He previously served as executive vice president of A. O. Smith Corporation and president of its Electrical Products Division until its divestiture in 2011.

Mr. Mapes serves on the boards of Lincoln Electric Holdings Inc. and The Timken Company.
