Ilham Kadri, PhD

Dr. Kadri joined the A. O. Smith Board of Directors in December 2016 and is a member of the Nominating & Governance Committee and the Personnel & Compensation Committee.

Dr. Kadri was named chief executive officer of Syensqo SA in December 2023. Syensqo is a pure play science company focused on clean technology like lightweighting, electrification, digitalization, resource efficiency and biomaterials.

She was chief executive officer of Solvay SA from 2019 to 2023.

Dr. Kadri was named president and chief executive officer of Diversey, Inc., a leading provider of cleaning and hygiene products with customers worldwide, in 2017. She was vice president of Sealed Air Corporation and president of its Diversey Care division from 2013 to 2017, prior to Diversey’s spin-off in 2017.

Before joining Sealed Air Corporation Dr. Kadri worked for Dow Chemical Company from 2007 to 2012. She was general manager of the Dow Advanced Materials Division, a specialty materials provider in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. She was also a commercial director for Dow Water & Process Solutions, a global leader in sustainable separation and purification technology, following its acquisition of Rohm and Haas. She also was marketing director for the construction, coatings and industrial division of Rohm and Haas.

Dr. Kadri also serves on the board of directors of Syensqo SA, L’Oréal SA and Catalyst.
