Ilham Kadri, PhD

Dr. Kadri joined the A. O. Smith Board of Directors in December 2016 and is a member of the Nominating & Governance Committee and the Personnel & Compensation Committee.

Dr. Kadri served as chief executive officer of Syensqo SA from December 2023 to January 2026. Syensqo is a pure play science company focused on clean technology at the service of lightweighting, electrification, connectivity, resource efficiency, circularity and biomaterials. She was chief executive officer of Solvay SA from 2019 to 2023.

Dr. Kadri was president and chief executive officer of Diversey, Inc., a global leader in hygiene and cleaning  sectors, from 2017 to 2018. She was vice president of Sealed Air Corporation and president of its Diversey Care division from 2013 to 2017, prior to Diversey’s spin-off in 2017.

Prior to joining Sealed Air Corporation Dr. Kadri worked for Dow Chemical Company from 2007 to 2012. She was general manager of the Dow Advanced Materials Division in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. She was also a commercial director for Dow Water & Process Solutions, a global leader in water desalination and purification technologies

Dr. Kadri also serves on the board of directors of L’Oréal SA.
