Paul Dana, SVP-Global Manufacturing


Paul DanaPaul Dana was named Senior Vice President-Global Manufacturing in March 2015.  He is responsible for the company’s manufacturing operations in North America, Asia, and Europe as well as global capital planning, manufacturing engineering, and manufacturing best practices.  

Paul joined A. O. Smith in 1998 as Plant Manager of the company’s residential water heater operations in Juarez, Mexico, and El Paso, Texas.  He was promoted to Vice President-Product Engineering of the former Water Products Company in 2006 and was named President of the APCOM-Inc. subsidiary in 2011.

Prior to joining A. O. Smith, Paul held operations management positions with Tomkins Industries, an Olathe, KS-based manufacturer of valves, adaptors, and fittings, and Leviton Manufacturing Company, a manufacturer of  a wide range of electrical wiring, network, and security products headquartered in Bothell, WA.

Paul earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University, Clemson, S.C., in 1985 and a master’s degree from Long Island University, Brooklyn, N.Y., in 1990.
